National Yoga Awareness Month was created by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (N.C.C.I.H.) along with the Office of Research Services (O.R.S.) to raise awareness of the benefits of yoga-like mental and physical well-being, less stress, and increased longevity of life.

Get creative in the kitchen with new recipes; whether they’re teas, tonics or superfood smoothies. Try incorporating nutrient-rich foods, or possibly even create an entirely plant-based lineup for the month.


3. gift yoga to a gal pal.

Have a friend who hasn’t yet experienced the joy of practicing yoga? Invite them to an evening class at your favorite studio or an impromptu yoga session in your backyard or favorite park. If your friend is a newbie, try a guided online yoga class like Alo or obé.
