The American Academy of Dermatology recommends using sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends SPF 15 every day you leave your house and SPF 30 if you plan to be in the sun most of the day
The FDA, World Health Organization and the CDC recommend SPF 15 or higher, and to reapply that every two hours.
All of those authorities agree that you should be using a broad-spectrum sunscreen, which protects your skin against both UVA and UVB rays. Make sure any sunscreen you buy clearly states that on the bottle.
Packaging
Recyclable
Goddess Garden product packaging is recyclable.
Simply make sure the bottle is empty and clean, then recycle as normal.
With the sunscreen sprays and sticks, please remove the label prior to recycling.
Different municipalities do have different recycling abilities, so if you’re unsure, check with your local recycling facility.
Featured Ingredient
Found in all our sunscreens, caprylic/capric triglyceride is derived from coconut oil.
At the molecular level, caprylic triglyceride never goes rancid and is completely stable.
This ingredient has a silky feel to it that leaves your skin feeling smooth and non-greasy, and helps disperse the minerals evenly on the skin.
Why Use Mineral Sunscreen
You Eat Natural Foods, So Shouldn’t Your Sunscreen Be Natural, Too?
In today’s world, it seems like we constantly hear messages about “going natural,” but what are the actual benefits of a natural sunscreen?
The conventional sunscreen you have purchased your whole life works just fine at preventing sunburn, but take a look at the ingredients on the bottle of last summer’s sunblock.
If you find ingredients such as oxybenzone, octinoxate, or even isobutane, you may want to consider the purchase of Goddess Garden’s mineral sunscreen instead.

Highly rated organic , but not sheer
It says “new sheer” on the marketing. However this is thick and white . It took almost three days to come off. Great for blocking sun! But not for being easy to clean off.
-
Good product and easy to use.
Easy to use and prevents sunburn. Yes it leaves a bit of white residue but who cares! It works without the bad chemicals!

Works
This stuff defiantly works. However you have to put it on before you go out into the sun. And you just rub it in after you spray it on. Love the ingredients so I will buy again when I run out.

Best all natural sunscreen
This is my favorite all natural zinc oxide sunscreen. Goes on smooth and works like a charm.

Zero scent, good coverage
I bought this for a trip to Mexico, knew I would be snorkeling. It actually worked great, as long as I remembered to reapply every few hours.Pros: NO scent, which was important to me because of allergies. Spray was important and it makes application much easier.Cons: Higher SPF would have been better, but it had what I needed. You do need to rub it into your skin, pretty minor con.The only time I burned using this was when I got so excited about getting into the water to snorkel, that I forgot to have my partner do my back, lol. Burned me to a crisp, but all the other areas I coated myself weren’t burned. I would buy this again in a flash.

Very Happy with New & Improved Organic Sunscreen
Always looking for better ways to protect the environment—excited to hear that Hawaii and the Florida Keys are banning chemical sunscreens to protect the reefs. I want to protect myself, as well. This organic product will help me avoid those chemicals and nanoparticles. By following the instructions to apply to moisturized skin, I had no difficulty applying and rubbing it in. And the nozzle is working just fine. Hopefully GG’s new formula will make for more consistency….so far, so good.

I’ll reorder
Love it! Super safe. Because it’s mineral based, my kids typically are pretty white and pasty when I’m finished smeering it on! (it doesn’t rub in well) Ill still reorder!

Safe, effective and good consistency
I have tried many lotions and spend many hours every year checking the ewg ratings and reading reviews for a safe and effective sunblock. I am extremely happy with the garden goddess line. First of all not only is it a zinc oxide based sunblock which is safer, each of the individual ingredients are rated as a 1 for the safest possible. This sunblock sits on the surface of the skin instead of seaping down into the akin and forms a protective layer. When you first put it on it is white which I find makes it easier to see where you missed a spot. The white disappears after a little bit but you can still feel the location. I apply this once a day on my boys and entire family with heavy swimming and activity in the sun and we have never burned. Many of the zinc based lotions are usually very greasy and the consistency of this one is very nice. The lotion is a little smoother to apply, but I have started using the spray because it’s faster. FYI you will need to do a quick rub after spraying to even put the lotion, but I don’t mind because it’s still pretty fast, extremely effective and safe.

I love this mineral sunscreen!!
I researched for awhile to find the right mineral sunscreen and I finally purchased this one. I bought both a cream and spray version and I absolutely LOVE both!!! I’m so pleased with how sheer this applies if you do it right. It doesn’t have a strong smell at all either and doesn’t feel super slimy like chemical sunscreens. I took some advice from the brand and made sure my skin was moisturized before applying. (By this I just mean that I moisturize anyway after every shower, and this was enough. They recommend you don’t apply to super dry skin, as I’m sure it wouldn’t rub in as nicely.) I also found that applying in small amounts and sections at a time helped to ensure it all rubbed in sheer. I think if you apply a giant blob you’ll be in trouble, but taking your time and applying in small amounts worked perfectly! I saw that some complaints said it was way too thick and you had to rub in the spray version, but I found spraying on small sections and rubbing it in right away to work just fine. I have never just sprayed on any chemical sunscreens and not rubbed it in after, so I’m not sure what people mean when they complain about that that.. I still always found the need to rub in and apply spray sunscreen the same way as a cream version. It definitely sits on the skin and doesn’t absorb like chemical sunscreens, but that’s the point! I don’t mind the feeling at all, and prefer that to the slimy feeling of chemical sunscreens. I really think that taking the extra few minutes to apply it correctly is well worth the benefits! I plan on recommending this to all of my family and friends!
