Application and Usage
TIPS FOR APPLICATION:
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply: At least every 2 hours. Use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating. Not intended for use on children. Apply to face and neck before applying liquid or powder makeup.

All Goddess Garden Sunscreens are Reef Safe
Some of the most common chemical sunscreens, oxybenzone and octinoxate, have been linked to the destruction of our coral reefs.
This damage can occur even at very low concentrations of these chemicals in the water.
Because of this, they’ve even been banned in placed like Hawaii, Key West, Bonaire and the Republic of Palau.
Minerals, on the other hand, are reef safe, so do not harm reef environments and the vast life they support.
We never use toxic or harmful chemicals, so all our sunscreens are completely reef-safe!
Certified Organic
All Goddess Garden ingredients are Certified Organic wherever possible.
Pure minerals offer powerful UV protection, but they can never be considered “organic” ingredients since they’ve never been alive.

Why We Designed our Daily Facial Routine
To understand why we designed our Daily Facial Routine to address sun damage and other skin aging, it helps to go back to the start of our company. Our founders, Nova and Paul, were inspired to create Goddess Garden because they needed a safe sunscreen made with clean, natural ingredients for their daughter.
They identified a problem and created their own solution.
They learned a lot along the way, including that the sun is responsible for 90 percent of the visible signs of skin aging.
That means if we’d all used sunscreen on our faces every time we were exposed to the sun in our lives, we’d all boast baby faces—but we didn’t.
Here, Nova and Paul saw another problem: How do you undo years of not wearing sunscreen?
True to their innovative spirit, they again went to work on a solution—the Daily Facial Routine.
Repairing Sun Damage Naturally
Repairing sun damage is pretty complicated stuff. That’s because the damage itself is complex as well. It has to do with the different spectrums and wavelengths of the UV rays and how each affects the skin. Mineral sunscreen is the first step to addressing the problem. You have to stop the damage so your skin can begin to heal itself. Goddess Garden has been providing this solution to our customers for years.
Then we decided to take it to the next step: The repair process.
To further complicate the problem, synthetic chemicals are commonly marketed to help people turn back time. Luckily, we geek out on finding natural alternatives. We read about willow bark and baobab oil for fun! We’re like kids in a candy store when it comes to nature. There are so many wonderful ingredients to choose from that won’t cause their own problems later on.
A Plant-Powered Skincare Solution
We looked for ingredients that could restore the things years of sun exposure takes away from our skin. Nature once again provided just what we needed: strong antioxidants, vitamins, moisturizers and ways to deliver nutrients where they’re needed most. We mixed and tested, and even started over when we found ingredients that were higher in antioxidants or provided a better firming effect. We learned and mixed and tested again.

This stuff is amazing. I just ordered my second bottle. It smells incredible and works like a skin treatment. It’s a bit pricey for the size but I compensate for this by using the Goddess Garden facial spf on my neck and saving this one for just my face. I also have a different brand sunscreen (NCN professional) that I wear on alternate days.Like most physical sunscreens, this does leave a white cast and can be difficult to blend. Therefore, I don’t rub this lotion on, and instead I do a “pat pat pat” motion all over my face. The white cast is softer, less chalky, and more “glowy” than most physical sunscreens, so a bit of concealer under the eyes is all it takes to prevent me from looking washed out. The application process takes a tiny bit of practice but I quickly got the hang of it and now I’m obsessed!This product DELIVERS.

It seems to perform fine as a moisturizer and sunblock. It feels a bit stick or tacky after application but this seems to be the norm for mineral based moisturizers. I bought this after seeing it reviewed as a safe mineral based product. I dont like the flowery smell. I wish it had a neutral or no smell. It comes in a small pump bottle which I suspect is hard to get out the last bit of product from the bottom.

I have been using this about a month and I really like it. I use it under my make up in the morning. I believe it actually has a firming effect which is pretty awesome. I do need to give it a couple minutes to soak in because at first I look really white. I wore it without makeup camping. Great product.

Update: purchased this again from another company. I was mistaken. This is actually a very nice primer/moisturizer! Yes, it’s thick, but when you apply it, make certain to start with a small amount, and then massage it into your skin until it’s no longer white. If your skin is dry, try spritzing a little water or a warm cloth first, then continue to apply until you’re done. It’s actually very emollient.

I love this product and I HIGHLY recommend it! As a two time melanoma survivor, sunscreen is a must even on the coolest cloudy days. Face the Day goes on light, almost as a foundation does. While it does leave a slightly white tint because my skin tone is redish, with a little face powder over it, it’s barely noticeable. I feel very protected with this product, while not feeling as though I have an “sport” sunscreen on. It’s much more than your usual “spf 30” face cream which wears off quickly, this is the real stuff. It still feels like a cosmetic and has a very nice LIGHT fragrance. I’ve used many other Goddess Garden products and can wholeheartedly say that I trust them with my life. Because I do!

I LOVE this product. It makes my skin feel amazing. Ive had several people try it and they have all gone and bought it immediately after. Two of them were having problems with skin irritation for their current spf moisturizers and they had none with this. I will note that this goes on a little more smoothly when used with the serum (any oil would probably work the same though), but overall, I’m so glad I found this product line.
