The American Academy of Dermatology recommends using sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends SPF 15 every day you leave your house and SPF 30 if you plan to be in the sun most of the day
The FDA, World Health Organization and the CDC recommend SPF 15 or higher, and to reapply that every two hours.
All of those authorities agree that you should be using a broad-spectrum sunscreen, which protects your skin against both UVA and UVB rays. Make sure any sunscreen you buy clearly states that on the bottle.

Featured Ingredient
Found in all our sunscreens, caprylic/capric triglyceride is derived from coconut oil.
At the molecular level, caprylic triglyceride never goes rancid and is completely stable.
This ingredient has a silky feel to it that leaves your skin feeling smooth and non-greasy, and helps disperse the minerals evenly on the skin.
Why Use Mineral Sunscreen
You Eat Natural Foods, So Shouldn’t Your Sunscreen Be Natural, Too?
In today’s world, it seems like we constantly hear messages about “going natural,” but what are the actual benefits of a natural sunscreen?
The conventional sunscreen you have purchased your whole life works just fine at preventing sunburn, but take a look at the ingredients on the bottle of last summer’s sunblock.
If you find ingredients such as oxybenzone, octinoxate, or even isobutane, you may want to consider the purchase of Goddess Garden’s mineral sunscreen instead.

Love this little stick. We live in Hawai’i so it’s important to have SPF on hand – especially during the summer. I keep this little stick in my bag and use it on arms and chest when I feel the sun beating down. I use it on my daughters shoulders and arms (face is protected by hat). Just today, my friend was wearing a halter dress, and asked if I had and SPF and indeed I did! Just rubbed this on her back and voila! Protected. I love that it’s mineral – I am currently pregnant and avoid the chemical stuff. It definitely goes on white (I have the sport stick) but with a little rubbing and some time it goes clear. It is quite small in size so I don’t think it would be ideal for full body usage. Very handy and will be ordering again!

Smells great. Works great. Convenient for your purse. My kids, 2 and 4 both like it. I’m for sure going to buy more.

My search for a sunscreen that scores high on the EWG and doesn’t clog pores was long, but I’ve found it. We have two young kids so finding a sunscreen that works and scores well on the EWG was crucial for me. The UVA protection level is excellent. Non greasy. Has a little white sheen, but not bad at all. Smells good. Very happy!

I like the feel of this sunscreen stick. It glides on well and leaves virtually no residue. However, the smell – as another reviewer pointed out – is almost like mens cologne. The odor “stings” my kids eyes when trying to apply it to their small faces, and thus, they hate it – so a sunscreen that requires me to wrestle my kids to get it on is pointless. Too bad – i do like the feel/use of it.

I’ve tried dozens of brands of zinc oxide and love this one in stick for more than anything else! It goes on more clear and still works. The stick is perfect in avoiding the sunscreen getting everywhere and staining things. I keep one just for my face and another for body application and haven’t had a single sunburn this year. It’s also a clean, safe product for pregnant/nursing moms and young kids.

It’s the PERFECT sunscreen for the face and neck of a wiggly, impatient toddler. It glides on smooth and almost clear. It’s super easy to rub in and then it’s completely clear. It smells great. It’s gentle on my son’s sensitive skin and I use it on my face too and it doesn’t cause breakouts. It’s a little pricey for how small it is so we save it for just faces and use a different sunscreen for our bodies.

I really wanted to love this. It was just ok. I much prefer blue lizard sunblock. This one was sticky and very heavy on the scent, which smells a bit like men’s cologne. I don’t hate the scent, just not on my baby daughter’s face. I like the stick applicator but that’s about it. Came with some sample packets of serum and sunblock. Horrible. Made my face so sticky I had to go wash it off after half an hour.

My kids hate sunscreen. This has made it easier to apply at least. It stays on top of the skin as it is mineral based. It is not supposed to soak into the skin so it leaves a white sheen. We have not had any issues with sunburn so that’s positive. It’s a small stick so I keep one in my purse at all times. The stick rubs on gentle. I tend to hold it to a face for a few seconds before gliding. It seems to warm up and bit and flow easier. Def recommend.

I ordered this to use on our family’s face during beach trips or time outdoors. We all are fair-skinned, but my son in particular has a skin condition where he has to be careful about the sun. This is easy to apply to his face to make sure he doesn’t get burned and it’s mineral so experts say it works better than the chemical sunscreens. It also is clear so it doesn’t leave a chalky residue, which is nice. Love it!

This stuff is incredible. So easy I don’t even need a mirror… Which means it always goes on, even if I’m already in the sun since it doesn’t sweat off, isn’t greasy, and doesn’t make you feel hotter. You only need a tiny bit – easy to control with the more solid stick-type formula – so I don’t end up ghost white. I can go out in the water for hours and not burn. I could probably take it with me in the water for reapplication but so far I haven’t needed to. It DOES NOT MELT if left in a hot, sunny car so it will last a long long time! The first few times I burned at my hair line… User error, but the burnt peeling mess vs totally unburned freckled face really showed how well it works after just 1 application and hours in the water. I cannot say enough good things. It’s taken decades to find a face sunscreen I like this much.

This mineral sunscreen stick applies smoothly and rubs in easily. It leaves a white residue that actually helps with application; my kids can see where they missed and can rub it in for better coverage. Overall a nice sunscreen to add to our backpacks.

If you have babies or toddlers you NEED this stuff!!! I came across this stuff on Instagram through a blogger. I was tired of the gross sprays…..my toddlers who are 2 and 3, would end of rubbing their eyes with other brands, and trust me, I tried a TON, and my littles would have red swollen eyes!!!!!!! Not with this stuff!!!!! It goes on white and I don’t even rub it in!!!! It absorbs in their skin and like magic, it’s like they weren’t even in the sun! We are pool owners and spend a TON of time outside! This is THE best stuff ever and toxin free!!! The stick is small, but I got 3 months out of it!!!!! I use it for face, neck, ears and neck!!! Thank you Goddess Garden!!!!!! I will be buying more of your products!!!!!

It is a little chalky and sticky but blends in well after a while.I am making this my new everyday for my kids especially! All mineral sunscreen is chalky and I mean all! I have tried sooo many.I will only use zinc and mineral based sunscreens now due to current research regarding the chemicals in other sunscreens.

I “discovered” mineral sunscreen sticks about a year ago, and tried a few. This one is VERY nice- my daughters and I are already fair skinned and many mineral sunscreens turn us ghost white- not cute. This one goes on extremely sheer and rubs in so easy even on my 2 year old, the finish is nearly matte. I HATE the smell though, it’s very strong even after rubbing it in and waiting. It’s not unpleasant per se but I prefer unscented products when it comes to our faces- I catch whiffs of it though put the day and it just bugs me. That is the only reason I took off 2 stars. An Unscented Baby stick would be a million stars.

I really appreciate this sunscreen because it’s the first body sunscreen that I don’t react to. It also ranks high on the ewg website for not being harmful for you at all. All of the other “natural” sunscreens somehow still give me rashes or dries out my skin. The only downfall to this product is the amount of product you get for what you pay for… it’s still worth it though. I definitely feel like my skin it protected with this product and it’s so easy to carry around to reapply.
