Oat Kernel Protein (Avena Sativa)

A natural filming agent, oat protein helps retain moisture. It creates the appearance of smoother skin, priming it for makeup and aiding the skin’s protective layer. As a humectant, it pulls moisture from the surface into the skin and allows for better absorption to hydrate the skin. Oat protein could replace polyacrylamide and other synthetic fillers and plumpers, which can irritate the skin and even break down the protective barrier over time. Oat protein offers the potential to reduce the appearance of wrinkles for a long-term benefit. Oats are sometimes hydrolyzed in our recipes, meaning their natural proteins are broken down using water, to help them mix with other ingredients more easily.
