Starting with the first batch of sunscreen mixed in the family kitchen, our skincare products use all natural ingredients to protect the skin and feed it the nourishment it needs. Because every ingredient comes from nature, all our organic skincare products are safe for people and the planet. And if you’re wondering about those long names in parenthesis after some ingredients, don’t worry! They’re based on the ingredient’s scientific name and are required on cosmetic packaging. We included them so you know what to look for.

Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax

Waxes contain tiny crystalline structures that help thicken recipes and stabilize the mixture of oils with other ingredients, giving our natural mineral sunscreen sticks a firm texture and a smooth consistency. We use ingredients like sunflower seed wax instead of beeswax, which is commonly featured in cosmetic products like lip balms. We think using beeswax takes advantage of an overworked species! Bees have to travel 150,000 miles to create one pound of beeswax—that’s the equivalent of roughly six times around the surface of the Earth! So we’ll leave the wax in their hives, where it can protect their young and their honey. They’ve earned it!
